The Massena Central School District invites sealed bids to be received for the 2019 Capital Improvements Phase 3 Project.
Prospective bidders are invited to submit their stipulated sum bids, including applicable Alternates and unit prices, for work described in general as follows:

CONTRACT NO. 1 – GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT NO. 2 – MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT NO. 3 – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT NO. 4 – PLUMBING CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT NO. 5 – ASBESTOS ABATEMENT
CONTRACT NO. 6 – FOOD SERVICE CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT NO. 7 – SITEWORK CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT NO. 8 – THEATRICAL SYSTEMS CONSTRUCTION

The Owner will receive sealed stipulated sum bids from qualified bidders at the District Office, Central Administration Building, 84 Nightengale Avenue, Massena, NY 13662 until 3:00 PM on January 18, 2022 at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in the High School Room 314. Please review the additional information below under items #9 and #10 regarding modifications to bid procedures due to COVID-19.

Pre-Bid Meeting: Special attention is called to prospective bidders that a Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the High School in Room 314, 84 Nightengale Avenue, Massena, NY 13662, at 3:00 PM, January 6, 2022.

In order to obtain a complete printed set of plans and specifications a prospective bidder may make a deposit of $100.00 by certified check or money order made payable to theMassena Central School District for each set. All prospective bidders using the deposit method, upon returning the first complete set of plans and specifications in good condition within thirty (30) calendar days after the date of award of contracts or rejection of bids, will be refunded the full amount of their deposit for the first set of plans and specifications. For the return of any additional sets of plans and specifications within thirty (30) calendar days after the date of award of contracts or rejection of bids, they will be refunded the full amount of their deposit for one (1) set of plans and specifications less the actual cost of reproduction of the plans and specifications.

COVID-19 Bid Modifications: Due to New York State regulations related to COVID-19, the Massena Central School District requires that all individuals on school grounds are to wear a mask at all times when indoors. In addition, the District respectfully requests that companies send a maximum of two (2) individuals for attendance at both the pre-bid meeting and the public bid opening for this current capital project bid. Contractors will be allowed to visit the site, but it must be scheduled in advance. No questions will be answered during any site visit. All questions must be submitted in writing in compliance with the procedures prescribed in the project specifications.
